From download to your first sentence.

Every release is signed with our Developer ID and notarized by Apple before it is published.

    Drag it in

    Open the downloaded file and drag Rambleproof into Applications.

    Link your account

    Open Rambleproof and click Link account. In the browser you downloaded with, you are already signed in: type the short code the app shows.

    Allow two permissions

    Microphone, so it can hear you. Accessibility (called Device Control and Data Access on macOS 27), so it can type at your cursor. It never types into password fields.

    Talk

    Setup downloads the speech models once, about 1.1 GB. Then press Right Option anywhere, speak, and press it again.

Check Apple menu, then About This Mac. You need Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later. Download again from this page and open the copy in Applications.

Setup or the model download did not finish

Check your connection and free space, then click the Rambleproof icon in the menu bar and choose Setup assistant. It runs the whole setup again.

I am on a work Mac

Your IT team may need to allow the app and its Microphone and Accessibility permissions. Our security page explains what each one is used for.

Why do I need an account?

Activating each Mac once is how we count real users and keep the free plan sustainable. After that, dictation works offline, and your audio and text stay on your Mac unless you send us a problem report.
