Plain terms for using Rambleproof.

Plans

Free provides unlimited raw local dictation. It includes up to 15,000 AI-cleaned words each week, followed by deterministic cleanup until the weekly reset. An installation that already existed before version 1.1.1 keeps its earlier allowance of 20,000 AI-cleaned words each week. Free is not a purchase.

A 14-day Pro preview starts with the first successful dictation and does not require a card. Pro is $12 a month or $96 a year. Managed cloud models are planned and are not available in the current release.

Lifetime is $200, with a $150 introductory price for 60 days from the public launch of the new pricing. Lifetime includes everything local and your own API keys. Managed cloud and cloud sync are not included and are not available yet.

The pricing and checkout pages show the plan, billing interval, current price and any promotion before you pay. Safety features are included in every plan. If paid access ends or cannot be verified after its offline grace period, the app returns to Free and does not lock dictation.

Payment and refunds

Stripe Managed Payments is the seller of record for eligible paid purchases. Stripe handles payment, indirect tax, transaction receipts, fraud, disputes and transaction support. Zena Labs LLC licenses and supports the software.

You can request a refund within 14 days of purchase through the contact path on your receipt or our contact form. A refund ends the associated paid entitlement. Mandatory refund and withdrawal rights in your country still apply when they are stronger.

Pro subscriptions renew at the interval shown at checkout until cancelled. You can manage cancellation and payment details from the link in your Stripe receipt. Cancellation stops future renewal; it does not turn Free dictation off.

Team subscriptions

Teams are $15 per person monthly or $150 per person yearly, with three paid seats minimum. The yearly monthly equivalent is $12.50 per person; the full year is charged at checkout. Every person on a team, including owners and admins, requires a paid Pro seat. A team dictionary that owners and admins maintain for the team is included. Managed cloud and storage are not included in the current team plan.

Owners and admins with billing permission manage the company subscription on Rambleproof. Adding paid seats requires reviewing the cost. Removing a member does not reduce purchased seats automatically. Reducing the billing quantity lowers the next renewal, with no refund for the current period. Pending invitations reserve existing seats and do not purchase additional seats.

A team can reuse a departing member’s seat for a new colleague. Team access is linked to each member's account and may remain cached for up to 30 days on a disconnected Mac. Removing a member or ending the subscription does not remove their personal license or local files. Company invoices are available through the billing page and the payment receipt.

Your license

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app under the plan you received. There is no per-Mac limit for your own Macs. Do not publish, sell or share a license key, or use one key to provide access to other people.

A subscription key is checked periodically so cancellation and refund status can be applied. Lifetime and gift keys are signed for offline verification. A gift key can include an expiry date.

Review the text before you rely on it

Dictation makes mistakes. Transcription and cleanup can mishear a word, drop a word, or change what you meant. Text can also land in a different app or field than you intended, for example when focus changes while you speak. You are responsible for reviewing the text before you rely on it or send it. We are not liable for transcription or cleanup errors, or for text inserted into an unintended destination.

No professional advice

Rambleproof is a writing tool. Its output is not medical, legal, or financial advice, and you must not rely on it for decisions in those areas without checking with a qualified professional.

Recording other people

Some laws require consent from everyone who is being recorded. When you dictate around other people, it is your responsibility to follow the recording and consent laws that apply where you are.

What we are liable for

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for claims connected to Rambleproof is capped at the price you paid for it. For the free version, that is zero. This cap does not apply where the law says it cannot, for example for liability that a seller is never allowed to exclude.

Your statutory rights

If you live in the European Union or another place with mandatory consumer protections, nothing in these terms limits rights that your law gives you and that cannot be waived. That includes the conformity remedies of the EU Digital Content Directive. Where a disclaimer or cap in these terms is prohibited by that law, it does not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of California, USA. This choice of law does not take away mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
