Typeless vs Rambleproof
Typeless turns speech into polished text in the cloud, on computers and phones, in more than 100 languages. Rambleproof does it on your Mac, for the Mac only. Here is what each vendor publishes, and the cases where each is the right pick.

The short version
Choose Typeless if you want one dictation tool across macOS, Windows, Linux and your phone, in many languages, with a different tone per app. Choose Rambleproof if you dictate on a Mac, want your voice processed on that Mac, and want a free plan or a one-time license instead of a subscription.
What Typeless publishes
Typeless's site lists apps for macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android and more than 100 languages with automatic detection. Its privacy policy says audio and limited context, such as the app you are in and relevant text within it, are processed in real time on its cloud servers and discarded once the result is returned, and that it uses third-party model providers. You sign in with an account to use it. The features it leads with are removing fillers and repetition, applying the corrections you make mid-sentence, formatting lists, a personal dictionary, a tone for each app, and an Ask anything shortcut that rewrites or translates selected text. On a Mac you press Fn once to start and again to finish.
Typeless's pricing page lists a free plan with limited words per week and Pro at $30 a month, or $12 a month billed yearly, which is $144 a year. There is no lifetime license.
What Rambleproof does
Rambleproof is push-to-talk dictation for Apple silicon Macs. Hold the shortcut, speak, release, and cleaned text is pasted at your cursor. Transcription and cleanup run on the Mac and work offline after a one-time activation. Cleanup removes fillers and false starts, then checks that numbers and negations from your speech survived, and falls back to a simpler cleanup when they did not. Cloud models are optional on Pro and use your own API key.
Unlimited raw local dictation forever, with 15,000 AI-cleaned words each week at Light or Medium, then basic cleanup (fillers and punctuation, no AI rewrite) until Monday. Pro is $8 a month billed yearly or $12 monthly. Lifetime is $200. English is the language we test and recommend.
